Eastenders legend Dame Barbara Windsor (Peggy Mitchell) is currently recovering at home after undergoing an operation to fit a pacemaker. Her husband Scott Mitchell confirmed that she had been treated in hospital for heart complications, believed to be triggered by her Alzheimer’s drugs. “Barbara was suffering from a low heart rate, which doctors thought was being caused by some of her medication,” he revealed. “She was getting very dizzy and short of breath and fainted one day at home, so she had an eight-day hospital spell.” Get well soon, Babs!

ADAM GETS FESTIVE

Former Emmerdale star Adam Thomas (Adam Barton) will take the stage this Christmas to star in Nativity! The Musical. He’ll play the role of ‘Hollywood producer’ when the tour stops in Liverpool and Stoke, with former Eastenders star Charlie Brooks (Janine Butcher) taking over from him when the show gets to Nottingham. Current Walford resident Jake Wood (who plays Max) will appear in the Oxford stint of the popular festive show.

Former Corrie star Shayne Ward (Aidan Connor) has posted some sneaky snaps of him in character for his first acting job since leaving the cobbles.
