Will Bernice’s affair with Liam be discovered by Daz?

DAZ IS CLOSE TO STUMBLING UPON HER SECRET ROMANCE…

- Kate White

Daz should have trusted his instincts – he was spot on!”

There’s big trouble for Bernice this week – as Gabby’s meddling sets Daz and Dr Cavanagh on a collision course!

She’s stunned to hear that her mum has ditched boyfriend Daz, and gets the wrong end of the stick about Bernice’s reasons for cutting him loose. Gabby has no idea that naughty Bernice has been having a secret fling with Dr Cavanagh, and that she’s keen to spare Daz’s feelings. Convinced that her mum really wants to be with Daz, Gabby plays Cupid – but gets things spectacularly wrong.

“Gabby is no fan of Daz, yet she's got her head around him being her mum’s boyfriend,” explains our Emmerdale gossip. “There’s not a hint that Bernice has already moved on to Dr Cavanagh, so Gabby thinks she needs to step in because her mum is rubbish at romance. Unfortunately, her meddling means that Daz thinks he may have a chance of winning Bernice back. Things are going to get ugly!”

As Daz dreams of reuniting with Bernice, she’s thrilled to be the centre of Dr Cavanagh’s attention. They’ve agreed to keep things quiet, but romantic Liam is still keen to spoil her. He plans a champagne picnic for them at the cricket pavilion, and Bernice is thrilled. When she gets a note with playful instructions on where to find her smitten lover, Bernice heads off – not realising that she’s made a terrible error.

“Daz rocks up at the house and on finding the note, he thinks it’s meant for him,” gasps our snitch. “It’s no wonder he misunderstands, given Gabby’s attempts to get them back together and Bernice’s failure to be straight with him. If he follows the clues, he’ll end up at the

cricket pavilion too – and be confronted by the woman he loves in the arms of another man!

“It’s easy to be wise in hindsight, but Daz should have trusted his instincts when he first suspected Dr Cavanagh was trying to steal his girlfriend from him,” continues our spy. “He was spot on! As for Bernice, she needed to be honest from the start – though she was too scared of hurting Daz after everything he’s been through. What a horrendous mess!”

It’s a mess that could end in a punch-up if Daz discovers Bernice and her lover in a passionate embrace. Will she regret her cautious behaviour when the truth about her shenanigans comes out?
