A FOND FAREWELL!

For five years, Ross Barton has been one of the show’s best bad boys and a genuinely compelling anti-hero. But for actor Michael Parr, the time is right to try something new. How’s he feeling about saying goodbye to the show?

“It’s a mixed bag of anxiety and happiness,” he tells us. “There are other avenues I want to explore, but I’m very sad. I feel like I’m breaking up with Emmerdale, yet it’s the right decision for me at this time in my life.”

Michael’s immediate plan involves jetting Stateside and trying his luck in Hollywood.

“I’m in LA with my friend Adam Fielding [aka Kirin Kotecha] – we’re going to try to live the American dream until the money runs out,” he laughs. “I’ve had the best five years of my life at Emmerdale, and the opportunities this job has given me have been amazing. So, I’m going to take the plunge and be a desperate, on-thedole actor again for now. But hopefully I can come back and do a bit more in the future.”
