“Susan feels extremely guilt-ridden!”

- Sarah Ellis

Susan just wants her life back – without Finn Kelly in it!”

Erinsborough stalwart Susan looks set to do the unthinkable this week – as she picks up a pillow and considers smothering nemesis Finn!

The wicked fella is lying in a coma, having been pushed over the edge of a cliff by one of his enemies. It’s unclear yet exactly who was responsible for the bloke’s undoing. The guilty party is one of Susan, Elly, Bea or Xanthe – though whether she started the job or not, Susan’s determined to finish Finn off…

“Susan’s not a vindictive, calculated person, but she is very conflicted,” explains actress Jackie Woodburne, who plays the Ramsay Street favourite. “While I don’t believe for a moment that Susan is really serious about killing Finn, part of her wants this whole horrible situation to disappear. She just wants her life back – without Finn Kelly in it!”

As the week kicks off, Susan is still grappling with her guilt over what happened at the clifftop. She and her cohorts are all terrified about what will happen if Finn wakes up and names the person who put him in hospital – then, when a mystery illness breaks out at the school, Susan is horrified to learn that Finn orchestrated the entire thing before his fall!

“Susan is extremely guiltridden – in her mind, she should have protected the girls, and it shouldn’t have ended like this,” Jackie tells us. “There is a man badly injured in hospital, which she blames herself for. However, now his actions involve sick children, and she is struggling to comprehend how he could possibly stoop this low.”

It’s Finn’s latest deed which prompts Susan to find herself stood over his hospital bed,

pillow in hand, contemplating the unthinkable. Viewers will have to wait to see if she will be able to go through with putting an end to Finn’s evil machinations for good – but Jackie tells us that she’s loved acting out such a dramatic storyline.

“I’ve so enjoyed working on a plot that involves a very broad range of emotions,” she grins. “All of the women had their own motives for potentially pushing Finn off the clifftop that day – and Susan certainly had her reasons given their history.

“Will Finn survive?” adds Jackie. “There are a lot of ramifications for everyone involved, and there’s lots more still to play out!”
