Damon takes Maxine by surprise
Jacob Roberts on his character’s new love…
Damon plants a kiss on Maxine this week – but he doesn’t quite get the response that he was expecting! But Hollyoaks’ Jacob Roberts, who plays Damon, is rooting for them to make a go of things…
So Jacob, what do you think of Damon and Maxine?
I think they could be really good together! Apart from the fact that Maxine is obviously a very attractive girl, she also laughs at Damon’s jokes – which not many people do! I like Maxine as a character, and I look forward to working more with Nikki Sanderson [who plays her].
But things don’t go to plan when he tries to kiss her…
He totally misreads the situation! She’s been watching an old video message from her late hubby Adam, but Damon gets lost in her eyes – and thinks she wants a kiss!
Maxine’s previous husbands [Adam and Patrick Blake] have both been murdered – does that worry Damon at all?
Are there two? I only just found out about Adam! Damon’s pretty smitten, so I don’t think that would change anything. As long as it’s not Maxine doing the murdering…
Damon also fights with Brody this week. What was that like to film?
It’s a shock to Damon, as they’ve not come to blows before. There was one take where Adam [Woodward, aka Brody] actually got me – I don’t think they’ll use that shot, though, because of his shocked reaction! I made him buy me a Nando’s to make up for it…
