Just for the record

This is an absolutely charming idea. In this new two-part series, ordinary members of the public will have the chance to go into a recording studio and work with some of the top producers in the industry, to lay down their version of a song that means a lot to them. In tonight’s opening episode, 23-year-old Jordan and his grandfather Ronnie (72) will be recording a duet of Ben E King’s Stand By Me, so they’ll have a permanent reminder of the joy they get from singing together. Also featured tonight is 13-year-old Jasmine, who works through chronic anxiety to record Andra Day’s Rise Up.
