With Mo at the helm, Nicky is given fresh licence to pursue a career in cardiothoracic surgery, despite Jac’s assessment that she isn’t up to the task.

However, Mo has no intention of giving her young protege an easy ride, and sets Nicky some of her trickiest challenges yet. Will Mo’s approach to mentoring help Nicky to succeed?
