Guilty Daz tries to make a run for it after knocking down Graham – until he spots Kerry in grave danger.

Following the horrifying accident, in which drunk

Daz hit Graham with his car and fled the scene, this week the terrified fella sees no option but to go abroad.

Having booked a flight, Daz secretly packs up his stuff and catches a bus to the airport. However, moments into his journey, he sees Kerry collapsed by the side of the road!

“For a split-second, Daz wonders if he could forget what he’s seen and let Kerry be somebody else’s problem,” suggests our Emmerdale insider. “But he genuinely adores Kerry – she’s been his rock throughout every bad thing that’s happened, and he owes her big time. Kerry is a diabetic, and she might die if she doesn’t get the help she needs. Daz has a chance to save her – and he’s going to sacrifice his freedom to do it!”

Daz frantically starts ringing the bell on the bus until the driver lets him off, and he then races over to Kerry. It looks as though she’s collapsed from having low blood sugar, and it’s a race against time to revive her. Daz picks her up and heads back home, alerting Dan to his partner’s medical crisis. Thankfully, Kerry soon comes around, and after a trip to see the doctor, she’s given the all-clear. That said, there’s no doubt that if Daz hadn’t acted, Kerry could have died! However, Daz has no time to celebrate, as he searches for the next flight out of the country.

Daz isn’t just worried about Graham – he couldn’t face prison”

“We know that Graham is capable of extreme violence and murder, so if he survived the accident, he’ll be gunning for Daz,” reckons our source. “And if he didn’t survive, Daz could be up for manslaughter! His only hope is to leg it and put as much distance between them as possible, and pray that Graham doesn’t come looking for him.

“Daz isn’t just worried about what Graham might do, either,” continues our spy. “He couldn’t face going to prison again. He thinks it’s better to leave his family and his whole life behind than risk another spell behind bars.”

Daz is frantic as he begins the search online for a new flight, but there’s worse to come when Amelia catches him. She wants to know what’s inspired this sudden rush to get away. Having been part of the joyriding group which stole Daz’s car and crashed it in the field in the first place, Amelia’s having nightmares about getting caught. Can she convince Daz to stick around and face the music, or is he determined to leave anyway?
