Alice attempts to kill Sonya
HER PLAN TO GET RID OF TOADIE’S WIFE LOOKS SET TO HAVE A TRAGIC END…
Evil Nanny Alice’s plan reaches its terrible climax this week, as she poisons Sonya! Alice has been playing the Rebecchis for weeks – living in their house, looking after their kids, and baking them questionable shortbreads. But still met by the couple’s united front, she takes drastic action.
After convincing Sonya to make a delivery for the nursery, Alice accompanies her on the road – though not before making sure that Sonya puts on a pair of gardening gloves she’s soaked in toxic pesticide! When they pull over for a break, the poison takes hold and Sonya collapses – so has Alice had her wicked way at last?
“Sonya doesn’t know why she feels so ill,” explains Eve Morey, who plays her. “She thinks it’s something she’s eaten, and in a way, she’s comforted that Alice is with her. At this point, Sonya doesn’t suspect Alice at all.”
The awful truth of what Alice has done begins to dawn on Sonya, since her supposed friend fails to help her. But will Alice change her mind – or could it be the end for Sonya?
“Sonya’s riddled with excruciating pain,” shares
Eve. “She can hardly breathe – and it’s at this point that she starts to contemplate whether this is really the end for her.”
Unfortunately for Sonya, her husband Toadie is oblivious to what’s happening – in fact, after he hears Sonya is on a work delivery, he’s more frustrated than concerned.
Then, following Sonya’s recent admission to hospital, doctor David approaches him with her toxicology results.
And when he reveals that there were strong painkillers in Sonya’s system, Toadie reels to think his wife lied to him!
While furious Toadie is left believing that his addict wife has disappeared on a bender, Sonya can only lay helpless and injured in the middle of nowhere, and ponder why Alice has left her to die.
“Everything feels so unreal – it’s almost as if Sonya is hallucinating,” sighs Eve. “Sonya never had a mother figure, and Alice has been so
loving and caring, and has been the person who Sonya has learned to depend on. But Alice is responsible for what’s happening – so if Sonya should survive this, there’ll be a huge sense of betrayal…”
