Sparks fly at the snooker hall this fortnight, as Carla and Peter see in 2019 together – but will they begin the new year as a couple again?
Despite all that’s happened between them, their love for each other remains as deep as ever. So when Peter heads over to his new business venture, Carla joins him to talk about his future – and the electricity between them crackles.
“It’s a case of ‘will-they-won’t-they?’ – there’s a lot of unfinished business there,” teases Chris Gascoyne, who plays Peter. “They have a game of snooker on New Year’s Eve, and Carla wins! Peter didn’t know she could play snooker. The set-up is that Carla says to him, ‘If I beat you at snooker, then you have to sell this place. You are jumping from one thing to another just to get away from that, and you are going to do the same thing again’. He soon realises she’s right.”
In true Carla and
Peter style, the whole evening is a high-stakes affair – and while the pair confide in one another about their lives, they get tantalisingly nearer to admitting they are still in love.
“They get close,” shares Chris. “I think they’ll get back together, and it looks as if Carla is ‘the one’ for Peter. The audience wants it – so it’s pitched very well…”
Without the snooker hall to keep him busy, Peter’s going to be without a job
for the foreseeable future. Isn’t that quite a dangerous prospect?
“Peter feels absolutely fantastic!” grins Chris. “He’s telling everybody that he’s a free spirit and that he’s managed to get away from the rat race. Peter is very zen. Next year is going to be very interesting for him – I’m really looking forward to it!”
