Jacob & Maya’s Christmas near-miss!
DAVID ALMOST CATCHES THEM TOGETHER…
All Jacob’s Christmases come at once this fornight, when Maya engineers a secret rendezvous behind David’s back.
She spies a chance to sneak off for a walk with the smitten teen, as David grapples with organising the Metcalfe festivities. But an innocent stroll is the last thing on scheming Maya’s mind…
“What Maya is doing is unforgivable – she’s in a position of power at school and at home, and Jacob is out of his depth,” warns our Emmerdale insider. “Anybody else would dismiss this teenage crush and set clear boundaries for Jacob. Instead, manipulative Maya is playing games with him and David. It’s vile behaviour.”
Christmas Day at David’s is already an awkward affair, given that Jacob’s mum and David’s ex-fiancée Leyla is there, as well as his most recent flame, Tracy. Maya would have grounds to be furious at the guest list, although she’s too busy flirting with Jacob to care. After she and Jacob creep off, he nervously hands her a present that he’s bought for her, and Maya rewards him with a passionate smooch. But the duo are soon interrupted by David.
“There are seconds to spare before Jacob and Maya get caught, yet he just manages to hide before David spots him,” whispers our snitch. “It’s too close for comfort. However, Jacob’s day gets worse when David takes this moment alone to spring a surprise on Maya. They share a touching scene, where David says, ‘I love you’ for the first time, and she acts delighted. Then they start kissing.”
The experience is utterly mortifying for Jacob, hearing his dad in a romantic moment with the woman who he thinks he loves too. It should hit home for him that this situation with Maya is deeply wrong,

but Jacob’s young and foolish. Instead, he feels hurt and angry that David is all over Maya, and she’s just loving the attention that both of them are giving her.
She’d lose her job, her home and her partner if the truth about her and Jacob came out, so what is Maya thinking? One thing she doesn’t care about is the emotional trauma she’s inflicting on an impressionable youngster, who she’s encouraging to betray his own father. Will Jacob see the light, or will he continue pursuing his forbidden love?
