SHE FINALLY TAKES HER REVENGE ON JOHNNY AND LIZ…

- Kate White

Jealous Jenny loses her cool this Christmas, and unleashes revenge on unsuspecting Liz.

Sick of seeing husband Johnny and his former mistress bantering behind the bar, Jenny gets drunk and tells him that she’s been tracking the pair of them on her mobile phone. Incredulous, Johnny rows with his wife, but ultimately sacks Liz in the hope of saving his marriage. However, as raging Liz storms off into the night, Jenny lies in wait…

“Everything unravels on Christmas Day,” teases Sally Ann Matthews, who plays Rovers landlady Jenny. “If Liz had never come to work at the pub, and Johnny had made Jenny feel like a princess, they all would have been fine… but he didn’t!”

Having been convinced her husband was cheating on her for weeks, Jenny has been knocking back the wine to cope – which has got her into trouble. She’s come a cropper more than once, but her injuries look suspicious, and now Gemma is on the case.

The situation behind the bar is already volatile on Christmas morning, and then Gemma accuses Johnny of being a wife-beater!

“Jenny’s been all over the place for more than three weeks, and she has a black eye and bruised ribs, plus Gemma knows that she and Johnny have been shouting at each other,” shares Sally Ann. “On Christmas morning, however, the pair have reconciled, and it’s all set to be great until Gemma sticks her oar in. Jenny tells Gemma that she’s wrong about Johnny, yet it does cross her mind that she could play it that way. Viewers will be frustrated that people won’t leave them alone to be happy – but that’s not going to happen.”

Things are escalating fast, and that’ll lead to a life-changing Christmas night for all three of them. With

Jenny so hell-bent on exacting revenge on her love rival, it seems as if she could be about to do something she’ll regret…

“Jenny is unhinged at this point, so you never know what she’ll do next,” says Sally Ann. “That’s one of the joyous things about playing her!”

Christmas is set to be great – till Gemma sticks her oar in!”
