CAN DAVID HELP HIM FIND SOME FESTIVE SPIRIT?

It may be the festive season this fortnight, but the doctors and nurses of Holby City’s ED are still hard at work – and David makes it his mission to get Dylan to believe in the magic of Christmas!

After everything he’s been through this year – the death of his ex-wife Sam, losing his unborn baby, and his girlfriend

Ciara leaving – doctor Dylan is understand­ably in no mood to celebrate. So when he works a double shift on Christmas Eve in order to avoid any enforced fun, David sets about trying to persuade his colleague to spend the big day having lunch with him, rather than wallowing at home alone in his pit of misery…

“David really doesn’t think Dylan should be alone for the festive period,” whispers our Casualty insider. “The simple fact is that he’s an alcoholic who’s already fallen off the wagon once this year. Having to spend Christmas Day on his own could really tip him over the edge – and who knows how badly that would end?”

However, after the ED is targeted by a couple of scammers, and Dylan fights to save two patients who have been involved in an explosion, the medic declares that there’s no festive spirit left in the world! Does David have his work cut out trying to convince his colleague that Christmas miracles really do exist?

“It’s safe to say that Dylan is the very embodiment of the Grinch!” laughs our spy. “Luckily for him, David fancies himself as Santa’s Little Helper, and he refuses to take no for an answer! He’s
