CITIES: NATURE’S NEW WILD | BBC2 9PM
In the final episode of this beautifully shot series revealing how wildlife is adapting to the fastest-changing habitat on the planet, we see how naughty monkeys in Costa Rica are being fuelled – literally – by tourists. Over in New York, there’s a growing presence of humpback whales at New York’s beaches. In Amsterdam, grey herons are off to the fish market before it closes at 5pm. And while it’s tempting to think of Del Boy flogging a flounder to a different type of bird than he’s used to, there’s a serious side to all this – wildlife numbers are said to have halved in the past 40 years. Sobering stuff.
