Could Walford murderer Chrissie Watts be released from jail? According to Tracy Ann Oberman, who played her from 2004 to 2005, it’s a possibility – and she loves that people still ask her about the character. “I think it’s humbling,” she says. “Eastenders is an incredible experience – and to have been part of murdering Dirty Den was very exciting, so I’ll take it as a compliment. It was beautifully written. It’s great to have had a character who made that much of an impact.” But would she like to return? “You never say never,” she chuckles. “She’s done more time than most actual murderers!”

Former Coronation Street star Sean Ward (who played villain Callum Logan) has spoken out about his battle with depression, explaining how he decided to give up his addictions to alcohol, cannabis and pornography to overcome his mental health problems. “I’m now back in control,” wrote Sean, alongside a video he shared on social media.

Ex-walford star Patsy Palmer (aka Bianca Jackson) is a proud mum, as her 17-year-old daughter

Emilia Merkell has become a cover star of glossy fashion mag Tatler. The aspiring model admitted she found it hard to see her mother on screen as Bianca. “I did used to get upset watching her,” reveals Emilia. “I thought it was too weird!”
