Sinead faces Laurie in prison
BUT WHAT WILL HER MANIPULATIVE HUSBAND HAVE TO SAY FOR HIMSELF?

Vile rapist Laurie is back on our screens this week, as his wife Sinead goes to visit him in prison! With Laurie’s trial looming, Sinead has announced she won’t be heading to court to face the man who subjected her to emotional and physical abuse during their marriage. But after receiving a letter from the jailbird, she decides to confront him – and tell her ex exactly what she thinks of him…
“This letter is typical of manipulative Laurie – he’s trying to get a reaction out of Sinead,” explains Steph Davis, who plays her. “And it works,
he says all kinds of nasty things, and Sinead wonders if they’re true. Her mum advises her not to rise to it, but Laurie goes to the next level and brings up Hannah. That’s when Sinead decides to confront him.
“By this point, she’s had enough,” adds Steph. “She just thinks, ‘He can say what he likes about me, but not about my daughter!’ And when Sinead comes face to face with Laurie, you can actually see him at breaking point – he’s losing control a little bit.”
It’s clear that the meeting has left Sinead shaken – even though she puts on a front. And in an attempt to put the past behind her, she gathers some friends and heads off to a festival.
“Sinead thinks that the festival will take her mind off Laurie – she just wants to enjoy normal things,” Steph tells us. “She ends up making a pass at Sami, which she thinks will be reciprocated, but it’s not. He does like her, yet because of the vulnerable state Sinead’s in, he doesn’t want to take advantage.”
Sami may be doing the right thing by Sinead, but she takes it as a rejection – and storms off, deciding to hitchhike home! We already know from the Hollyoaks summer trailer that there’s huge drama brewing between
Laurie and Sinead’s brother, Finn, as the pair are being transferred to court in a police van – and we can reveal that the fight between them causes the prison van to crash! So will this be the end of wicked Laurie? Or could it provide both him and Finn with the opportunity to escape?

Steph’s keeping tightlipped, but hints that there are more twists to come…
“I watched the trailer thinking, ‘Go on, Finn’!” she chuckles. “I’ve seen these episodes and they’re so good – it’s the last part of this journey for Sinead.
“Filming this week’s scenes was fun, but there was loads of running involved, and I’m really unfit!” she chuckles. “There was also a lot of running through cow poo, so it was very smelly!”
