Devastated Damon decides to make his wife Maxine’s final days as special as they can be this week – by throwing her a living funeral!
As the newlyweds return from their honeymoon, Maxine is confronted by furious
Sienna, who urges her to come clean to Damon about her Munchausen’s diagnosis! But rather than revealing the truth, panicked Maxine tells yet another whopping lie – informing her credulous hubby that her tumour has grown…
“Damon is thinking that he’s not got much time left with Maxine, and he just wants to make her feel special,” explains Jacob Roberts, who plays Maxine’s husband. “He knows that she really likes the attention, so he has this idea of giving her a living funeral. It’s the chance for everyone to get together and share their memories of Maxine before she passes.”
Of course, viewers know that Maxine is not dying, and has made the whole thing up for the attention!
But while both Sienna and Misbah are well aware that there’s nothing physically wrong with Maxine, poor Damon remains in the dark.
“Damon has no suspicions whatsoever,” confirms
Jacob. “I think he finds it a bit strange that she doesn’t want him to go to her doctors’ appointments, because he really wants to be there to support her. He’s giving her the space she needs, but he feels a bit useless.”
After agreeing to give Maxine a huge party to celebrate her life, Damon realises that he needs to pay for the shindig somehow – so dips into Maxine’s charity fund! It’s not the first time he’s cracked open the account to pay for his wife’s ‘dying wishes’, so could he end up in serious strife if his actions are found out?
“Damon knows he could get into trouble, but he’s doing it out of love,” Jacob tells us. “I don’t think he realises how serious fraud actually is. He’s doing it because he wants to

It’s a bittersweet moment as Maxine’s loved ones gather in the Folly to celebrate her life, and it’s clear that the ‘dying’ woman is lapping up all the attention she’s being given! But with Sienna watching on, fully aware that the whole thing is a sham, will she manage to halt the proceedings by revealing the truth?
“Damon brings a whole crowd together – he even gets Maxine a coffin!” shares Jacob. “She’s ecstatic about the whole thing. Damon is just encouraging Maxine and giving her everything she wants… he needs to find a backbone and stop being such a doormat!”
