Max is a bit of a handful for Shona

HE’S MAKING POOR SHONA’S LIFE A MISERY…

- Sarah Ellis

Shona finds herself struggling with single parenthood this week, as Max’s bad behaviour spirals even further out of control!

Shona’s been left in sole charge of Max and his sister Lily while her fiancé David

is in jail, serving time for a crime that he didn’t even commit. And as unruly Max becomes increasingly volatile, lashing out at everyone around him, poor Shona is at her wits’ end…

“Shona loves David’s kids dearly, but this is not what she signed up for!” splutters our Street spy. “She knew what she was taking on when she and David first got together, although she never envisaged being left to look after Max and Lily on her own. She hasn’t even got Gail to help her out right now – and the kids are running her ragged.”

You can’t blame Max for acting out at a time like this. He’s already lost his mum Kylie and his biological dad Callum – who are both dead – so to be without adoptive dad David either is a terrible blow for the lad. Not only that, but his granny Gail is sunning herself on a beach in Thailand, leaving Max feeling more alone than ever.

This week, angry Max takes out his frustrations on the plant pots in Victoria Garden, and starts smashing them up! When Nick finds his nephew there, he attempts to stop his destructive behaviour in its tracks. Max then takes a swing at his uncle, blaming him for David being banged up in the first place!

However, things are set to get even worse as Shona prepares for little Lily’s birthday party. She wants to give the girl a day to remember, despite the fact that half her family won’t be there – but after Max skips a dose of his ADHD medicine, he kicks off big time…

Shona loves David’s kids dearly – but this is not what she signed up for!”

“Shona really wants this to be a special day for Lily, and Max is determined to ruin it!” sighs our sneak. “When Nick arrives, Max really lashes out at him, forcing Shona to send all of the guests home!

The day turns into a complete fiasco, and poor Lily is devastated.”

It’s clear that Shona is at the end of her tether as she admits to Audrey and Sarah that Max has been out of control for quite some time. But with the boy insisting that he’s taking his medication – while secretly pocketing the pills when no one is looking – is there anything Shona can do to get unruly Max to behave himself?
