Phil confronts Kat over his attack

Phil Mitchell arrives back in Walford this week – hell-bent on finding out who came very close to killing him. He still can’t recall what went down that fateful night in the Arches, but he does know that whoever attacked him almost finished him forever. When Phil returns to the Square, twisted Ben tries to cover his tracks by throwing Phil a welcome home party. Yet instead of getting in the spirit of the occasion, Phil makes it clear that he’s not interested in celebrating – he wants answers!
“Things aren’t adding up for Phil – and he has a suspicion that Ben has something to hide,” says our Walford insider. “All this fuss is a cover, and
Phil knows it. As soon as he gets Ben alone, he demands to know the truth – namely why Ben and Jay were arguing at his hospital bedside.”
What Phil doesn’t realise is that Ben has framed Keanu for the crime after discovering that his brother-in-law-to-be has been added to his dad’s will. Now Keanu and pregnant fiancée Louise are on the run, and Phil will stop at nothing to get them back. He can’t be sure, but Phil doesn’t think Keanu attacked him and he’s determined to piece together the real story. So, after Ben fails to convince him of his version of events,
Phil asks Jay why he and his brother were fighting.
The Slaters are still in the eye of this particular storm, too. Kat’s done what she can to cover for Stacey and get her out of the way, but with Ben still in possession of the evidence that confirms
her guilt, Stace needs to stay away.
However, as Kat hopes she’s done enough to put
Phil off the scent, she gets a shock – when she finds the hard man in her kitchen.
“Kat should know better than to think Phil wouldn’t knock at her door,” shares our spy. “There’s been beef between them lately, with Phil furious over the £50,000 Alfie swindled off him. That night it was her and Martin who were in the Arches as the violent blow was struck. Has Phil remembered that he was beating up Martin when his attacker swooped in?”
Kat and Ben ought to fear the consequences as Phil continues to search for answers. If the truth comes out, they’ll both be dead – and with Keanu on the run, it won’t just be Phil who wants revenge. Will they face the consequences of messing with the most dangerous Mitchell?
