Will Stuart be Callum’s best man?

HE RECKONS HE’LL BE CALLUM’S BEST MAN – BUT HIS BROTHER’S NOT SO KEEN…

- Allison Jones

Rainie tries her best to ensure that she and Stuart have some alone time this week – but meanwhile, there’s bad news looming for him elsewhere…

With the preparations for Callum and Whitney’s nutptials ramping up as their big day approaches, Stuart believes all bets are off as far as Callum’s best man is concerned – and that he’ll be by his little brother’s side at the event. But when Callum gets wind of what Stuart’s thinking, it’s not looking good…

“It’s while Callum and Sonia are talking wedding plans that

“Stuart has been trying to be there for his brother…”

she mentions Stuart’s assumption about being best man,” whispers our

Eastenders sneak. “While the siblings have had no formal discussion on the subject, it seems that Stuart’s put two and two together and started writing his speech. However, Callum has very different ideas about who he wants as his wedding wing man!”

Clearly concerned to learn of Stuart’s intentions, anxious Callum struggles with breaking the bad news. And it’s not as if he doesn’t have enough on his plate as he continues to battle his feelings for Ben! Yet when Stuart starts bombarding him with his plans for the stag do, Callum has no option but to be honest.

“Stuart’s really been doing his best to be there for his brother,” suggests our spy. “He’s really tried to clean up his act lately, and he was there for Callum when their nightmare dad, Jonno, rocked up in Albert Square recently. Unfortunately, we saw a glimpse of Stuart’s true colours returning when he laid into Ben after sussing what might be going on between him and Callum. And now Callum has someone else in mind for the coveted best man position.”

Whether Stuart will manage to take his brother’s unexpected news on the chin is anyone’s guess – but later in the week, he finds himself distracted elsewhere. Although Rainie remains keen to take her and Stuart’s burgeoning friendship up a notch, Stuart’s still anxious that she keeps her substance abuse issues under control. But is

Rainie really ready to do that? “She’s still taking

painkillers after being laid into by that dodgy bloke a few weeks back,” shares our sneak. “And understandably, because of her history – which Stuart appreciates all too well himself – he’s worried she’s been taking them for too long. She’s promises him she’ll stop, but whether she can or not, we’ll have to see…”

As he agrees to take Rainie at his word, is Stuart set to be disappointed a second time?
