Hunter escapes from prison
MEL IS BESIDE HERSELF AS SHE WORRIES ABOUT HER SON’S SAFETY…
Mel is thrown into a blind panic this week, when she’s informed by the police that her jailed son Hunter has escaped!
The week gets off to an alarming start for Mel when she receives a phone call telling her that Hunter is being moved to another prison. Disturbed by the implications for her boy, Mel contacts solicitor Gray, to find out if there’s anything he can do.
“The most difficult thing for Mel to come to terms with is that feeling of helplessness,” reasons our Walford insider. “She wants to try to protect Hunter, but the truth is that anything could be happening to him inside those prison walls. Mel wants to know why he’s being moved, and what’s happened. However, answers are in short supply…”
Gray regretfully tells Mel that there’s nothing he or anyone else can do to intervene: the decision to move Hunter has already been made, and it’s out of their hands. Nevertheless, Gray gives Mel a contact at the prison, so she can check on Hunter’s wellbeing. It’s scant consolation – especially when she returns home to find the
police waiting for her with a huge bombshell.
“They tell Mel that Hunter has done a runner!” gasps our snitch. “And when Mel furiously demands to know what happened, they’re forced to admit that they have no idea where he is! Well, if Mel was frantic before, you can multiply that by a factor of 10 now. She demands that they find him or there will be hell to pay!”
Inside Soap readers already know that actor Charlie Winter has recently been filming some new scenes as Hunter – so we can expect to discover the youngster’s whereabouts sooner rather than later. But just how much trouble is he in?
