Harriet takes on Malone

- Allison Jones

However, when Dawn finds out, she can’t believe that Harriet knew and never said anything. Harriet thought she was making the right decision at the time, but it backfires.

So, with Dawn refusing to forgive Will over this, why does Harriet decide to visit Malone?

All of this has kicked off from Will’s stress, so she’s worried for Will and what he’s got himself involved in with Malone. Harriet and Malone obviously have a history, as she worked with him while she was in the police. She’s not happy about him being back in their lives, and she knows Will fears him.

How does Harriet approach confronting Malone?

She doesn’t want to give her concern away. She has to tread very carefully to get some answers from Malone without dropping anybody else in it.

Harriet doesn’t intend to make things worse – but after her visit, Malone orders Will, Cain and Billy to do their next job, the riskiest so far. Does Harriet realise just how tangled they are in Malone’s web?

She doesn’t know all the details, but she’s not daft. And with her police past, she knows something’s not right. So she has to put her detective head on again to try to get to the bottom of it.

How much of a risk is she prepared to take to protect her family?

She’s potentially going to take some quite big risks, but that’s all I’ll say for now!

Do you like it when Harriet’s police past pops up in her storylines?

I do – it’d be boring playing a straightlaced, holier-than-thou vicar, so I love the fact that she has this history. Harriet’s not perfect by any stretch. She’s a normal, flawed human being who just happens to have a very strong faith.

Is she capable of bringing down Malone where Will, Cain and Billy have so far failed?

Well, all I can say is watch this space – and believe in girl power!
