Trapped Chantelle fears Gray

WHAT WILL GRAY DO WHEN SHE DOESN’T ANSWER?

- Kate White

There’s big trouble for Chantelle this week, when she and Kheerat get locked in at the call centre together, as Gray frantically tries to reach her.

Things at home are tense thanks to Whitney’s shock disappearance, so, with

Gray’s stress levels rising, Chantelle is desperate to placate him.

But she’s so consumed in her thoughts on how to cheer him up that she gets on the wrong side of vicious Suki, who questions her dedication to the Panesars’ call centre. And unfortunately for

Chantelle, her lack of commitment to her job could be dangerous…

“Chantelle lives on her nerves at the best of times, but now it’s situation critical,” shares our Walford insider. “Gray is like a time bomb, and she knows it’s only a matter of time before he explodes, and she bears the brunt of it. But she’s equally desperate to keep hold of this job, so Suki’s harsh words cut deep.”

It’s Kheerat who jumps to Chantelle’s defence when his mum lashes out. It’s obvious that he has a soft spot for her, and he certainly doesn’t want to lose her from the business.

The next day, Chantelle arrives at work having spent the early part of the day trying to give Gray support. However, as she throws herself into her shift with Kheerat, she misses several calls from Gray. Then there’s a sudden power cut, and the horrified employee realises that she and Kheerat are trapped!

“No power means there’s no way to operate the door’s lock,” explains our spy. “There’s no way out! With Gray’s fury building, this is a disaster for Chantelle. It’ll be hard for her to contain her fear without Kheerat realising that there’s something very wrong.”

As Chantelle and Kheerat wait, will she open up to him?

“Chantelle knows that Gray is like a time bomb”
