Naomi returns to Ramsay Street
BUT WHY IS SHEILA’S DAUGHTER BACK IN ERINSBOROUGH?
Wild child Naomi Canning is back on Ramsay Street this week – but will her return be any comfort to her grieving mum, Sheila?
With Sheila struggling to cope in the wake of her son Gary’s death, Kyle is prompted to call in reinforcements, and asks his Aunt Naomi to come back and sort out his gran. Sheila’s delighted when her errant daughter makes a sudden appearance on her doorstep – but Naomi finds her mum in a terrible state…
“She’s talking to birds – even for Sheila, this is strange!” laughs Morgana O’reilly, who reprises the role of Naomi after five years. “Kyle has been in touch about Sheila’s current state, so Naomi figured she better come back and help out. However, this probably coincides with some trouble she’s having in LA, so maybe it’s a sign from the universe to get out of there!
“On one hand, it’s food for the soul to be back with her family,” adds the star. “But on the other hand, Naomi is facing the past, and everyone has their opinion about her. She knows she has to work extra hard to prove she’s a new person.”
Sheila’s joy at seeing her daughter soon turns to frustration when she realises that she’s been summoned there to talk some sense into her mother! And Naomi herself quickly clocks the tension between Sheila and Susan, realising that getting past that is the key to Sheila moving on.
“Naomi feels deeply for her mum, but also wants to push her to kick start her life again,” confirms Morgana.
“Her problems with Susan are never going to help her do that. So it’s time to make things happen. Naomi has a plan to make it impossible for them not to talk to each other, forcing them both to let down their guard.”
After locking Sheila and Susan in the Willis house together, Naomi hopes it will give the warring women the chance to finally sort out their differences. But will it have the desired effect, or will it only make matters worse?
Meanwhile, Naomi soon has other things on her mind when she heads to the hotel to look for work, and bumps into Pierce – whom it appears she has a history with!

high-flying night life!” teases Morgana. “Seeing him brings it all back to her – and has Naomi worried that she might have picked the wrong guy…”
So, is it possible that Naomi is about to cause huge trouble in Pierce and Chloe’s marriage?
