Alya fights back against Geoff
SHE’S LOCKED HIM OUTSIDE – BUT HE HAS ANOTHER WAY OF GETTING IN…
Determined Alya clinches a small victory in the fight against wicked Geoff this week, after she changes the locks on the house that he shared with jailed Yasmeen – and prevents her gran’s abuser from regaining entry!
But Geoff still has an ace up his sleeve in the form of the hidden surveillance cameras that he has dotted around the property, as he plans to stay one step ahead of Alya’s plot to expose his true colours…
“Geoff is pig sick when he returns home from hospital to find his key doesn’t work any more,” smirks our Corrie mole. “Up until that point he is sitting pretty in the driving seat of this situation – playing the role of a battered husband and claiming Yasmeen is the abuser in their relationship. So when Alya takes the upper hand – albeit briefly – Geoff doesn’t like it. He hates not being in control.”
Sadly, despite everything that has happened, Geoff’s hold over wife Yasmeen seems to be as strong as ever.
When Alya visits Yasmeen in prison, she tries to make her gran see that she is the injured party, and not Geoff. Yet poor Yasmeen is so traumatised by her own actions – finally snapping and stabbing her husband in the throat – that she is unable to see through the haze of her own guilt.
Refusing to discuss the matter any further with Alya, Yasmeen hurries out of the visiting room and back to her cell, leaving her granddaughter more frustrated than ever.
Is Alya fighting a losing battle trying to free Yasmeen?
Back on the cobbles, Tim is furious that his dad has been locked out of No 6, while Geoff takes a more covert approach to gaining access to the house. His spy cameras are still fully operational, and only Geoff knows where they’re hidden.
“The video feed is synced with Geoff’s phone, so he can still eavesdrop on all the activity taking place inside the house,” points out our insider. “His surveillance could prove pivotal in his mission to outsmart Alya.”
Equally, the cameras could also be the key to Geoff’s undoing, as they clearly document every excruciating moment of him mistreating his wife. Yet what hope does Alya stand of finding the crucial evidence that could free Yasmeen?
