Brian takes the fall for Cathy’s online trolling this week. However, Tracy and Amy aren’t willing to let the act of betrayal slide…
After cruel comments were made on Tracy and Steve’s fundraising page for Oliver, Amy is intrigued when she later reads a grovelling apology from the very same account under the name ‘Lemon Drop’. Amy asks Aadi if he’ll help her to track down the troll, and after some research, the pair discover that Lemon Drop is the name of a newsagent – and so come to the conclusion that their troll must be Brian!
“It all seems to make sense to Amy and Aadi in that moment,” explains our Coronation Street insider. “Amy is determined to defend her family and to help Steve, who’s grieving for his son. So she and Aadi take action, and graffiti the side of the Kabin in revenge! But the pair of them should perhaps have done some more digging, because they’ve accused the wrong person…”
Brian gets the shock of his life when he finds ‘TROLL’ sprayed on the side of his shop. But soon, guilt-ridden Cathy comes clean, explaining that in a moment of madness after Tracy’s rejection of her help, she was the one who wrote the comments online. Protecting his partner, Brian lets everyone believe he was behind the trolling, and apologises to Tracy and Amy.
“After his confession, Brian tries to reassure Cathy that the commotion will all blow over soon,” shares our sneak. “But later that evening, Jenny tells Brian that he’s barred from the Rovers, and he soon wonders who else might be holding a grudge against him. Poor Cathy is mortified, because it’s all her fault.” Trying to make amends, Cathy goes to see Steve, and begs him to help her end the crusade against Brian. But will Steve be able to stop Tracy and Amy’s war? Or will Brian and Cathy be treated as outcasts on the cobbles?
