Prison sentence for Stacey?
AS THE MUM FACES HER FATE, DAUGHTER LILY TAKES DRASTIC ACTION...
Devastated Stacey is forced to say goodbye to her family this week – prompting an explosive reaction from troubled Lily.
The Slater clan is in turmoil as it prepares for the hearing, where Stacey fully expects to be sent to prison. For frightened Lily, it’s an awful time, and she doesn’t understand why the family isn’t fighting harder to keep Stacey from being put away. When gran Jean has no answers for her, Lily seeks her own solution – and it shocks everyone.
“Lily is found unconscious at the bottom of the stairs!” shares our Walford insider. “It’s a nightmare for Stacey, and she’s terrified that her daughter is seriously hurt. ”
As Stacey and Jean worry, Martin discovers what’s been going on. He confides in wife Ruby that he’s worried about all the kids, and what the future holds. Ruby offers Martin a shoulder to cry on, knowing full well that she’s responsible for everything that’s happening, having lied that Stacey pushed her down the stairs.
Following the shocking incident with Lily, Martin and Stacey are forced to speak ahead of her hearing. It’s heartbreaking for Stacey, who reiterates her innocence, but Martin simply doesn’t want to hear it, blaming Stacey for his wife’s miscarriage.
“Martin can’t stand the sight of Stacey now – she’s dead to him,” says our source. “He has no idea how twisted Ruby has been. It looks as if she’s got her way because, thanks to Stacey’s criminal record, she’s destined for a stint inside. That clears the path for Ruby and Martin to play happy families with her kids.”
Meanwhile, Jean reassures Stacey that she will take care of everything at home for her. What Stacey doesn’t know, however, is that Jean believes she might be seriously ill with cancer, and may not have long left to live. It’s devastating for both of them as Stacey heads off to discover her fate, leaving her mother waving a tearful goodbye. Will Ruby’s cruel game ever be exposed?
