Guilty troll Cathy comes clean

An attack on the Kabin nally sees Cathy fess up this week, and admit that it wasn’t Brian who posted nasty comments online about Steve – it was her!
Ever since the anonymous ‘Lemon Drop’ started trolling Steve and Tracy over their fundraising efforts in Oliver’s memory, the residents of the Street have been convinced that Brian was the culprit. But after she sees how everyone has been treating her partner,
Cathy realises the time has arrived for her to confess…
“Brian is being treated unfairly by the locals over something he didn’t even do,” our cobbles spy reminds us. “He’s been shunned by his friends and neighbours, had graf ti spayed on the side of his shop, and even Dev has been trying to steal business from him out of spite. But the nal straw comes when a brick is thrown through the window of the Kabin, and Cathy realises she needs to do the right thing by Brian.”
Shocked and shaken by the incident, Cathy can no longer stand by and watch Brian being punished for her mistakes. So she fronts up to Tracy, and admits she was the one who posted the online abuse, not Brian! But while Cathy hopes that her taking responsibility will lead to things dying down a bit, she’s sadly mistaken…
Later in the week, Tracy launches a verbal attack on Cathy in the café, while Gemma also makes it clear that she doesn’t want to be friends with Cathy given what she’s done. And while losing her mates is bad enough, Cathy soon realises that she’s not the only one who’s suffering.
“Cathy’s horri ed when Roy reveals that her nephew Alex has been trying to stick up for her on social media, only to cop abuse himself!” gasps our sneak. “She knows that the situation has got way out of hand, but she just doesn’t know how to put a stop to it all.”
Cathy tries desperately to explain herself to Gemma, yet her pal refuses to listen. And Cathy then con des in Roy that Alex has been forced to go to stay with his mum up
