Charity begs for forgiveness

NOAH AGREES TO FORGIVE HIS MUM – BUT GRANDDAUGHTER SARAH NEEDS MORE PERSUADING…

- Sarah Ellis

Charity goes all out to make amends with the kids in her life this week – but given all the terrible things she’s done, can they ever forgive her?

Charity knows that she’s done wrong by son Noah and grandchild Sarah in particular, but not having them in her life is killing her. She’s already made countless attempts to extend an olive branch, but will this time be any different?

“The things that Charity has done in the wake of her break-up with Vanessa are completely unforgivable,” our Dales spy reminds us. “The

nal nail in the cof n for Noah was when his mum ruined his chances of joining the Army by telling them about his illness. Since then, he hasn’t wanted to be anywhere near her.”

Some time has passed since then, though, and Charity feels it’s time the kids heard her out. She manages to persuade Noah to give her another chance, which leaves her delighted. However, the teenager warns his mum that talking Sarah round will be a tall order…

Charity’s granddaughter blames her for driving her mum Debbie out of the village – after all, if it wasn’t for Charity’s bad decisions over her daughter’s former boyfriend Al, then Debbie wouldn’t have felt the need to ee back to Scotland! So, even when Noah sets up an ‘accidental’ meeting between his mother and Sarah, the youngster refuses to engage with her granny.

Later, Charity’s eldest son Ryan makes it his mission to bring his family back together, and urges his mum to prove to Sarah that she can be the dependable guardian she needs. But given Charity’s track record, is that something she’s capable of?

“Dependable isn’t exactly the rst word that springs to mind to describe Charity Dingle!” chuckles our mole. “In fact, it’s probably the very last thing you’d say about her! Yet one thing Charity does have going for her is that

Making things up to Noah, little Moses and Sarah is Charity’s number-one priority…”

she doesn’t give up when she wants something, and making things up to Sarah, Noah and little Moses is her number-one priority right now.”

So can Charity really clean up her act and become the reliable parental gure her kids need? Or is that just too much to ask of the immature woman?
