My Telly HEAVEN!
As Sabrina Grant fronts the final episodes of Saved And Remade throughout this week, she tells us what she likes to watch on the box…
As the host of a creative show, do you enjoy watching them yourself? Yeah, any design or style shows are right up my street! I’m a big fan of The Great British Sewing Bee – anything that’s to do with making things!
What else have you been enjoying on television recently?
I loved I May Destroy You on BBC3. That was so good! It covered loads of themes that we don’t usually get to see, and it was done in such a great way, with brilliant scriptwriting and amazing acting. Actually, there’s so much to watch at the moment – I’m gradually getting through a lot of stuff on Netflix!
Do your friends recommend things? Yes, I’ve got notes on my phone of a neverending list of things to catch up on, if I ever find the time!
Are there any comedy shows that you particularly enjoy?
I really loved GameFace with Roisin Conaty. And I also like Would I Lie To You? – it’s just ridiculous, and I always get it wrong!
What did you like watching when you were growing up? Oh, my God,
The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, Friends… and
I used to like
Saved By The Bell! Also, on
Saturday mornings, I used to watch Live & Kicking on BBC1 and CD:UK on ITV.
Did you also like cartoons?
Yeah! The Simpsons, The Powerpuff Girls and I used to watch Johnny Bravo. Now, I like Family Guy, and I still love Disney Pixar movies. Any new one that comes out,
I’ll definitely watch it!
What do you put on if you just want to chill out?
I love Richard Osman’s House Of Games. It’s such a bizarre quiz show, but it’s fun.
The rounds are really creative. I’m terrible at it, though – and every time I think I’ve got the hang of it, it turns out I haven’t!
If you could be on any other TV show, what would you choose?
I have to say, I really love RuPaul’s Drag Race. It’s such a fun programme!
It’s easy watching, and very entertaining. I love drag as an art form. So, I’d want to be on the panel with RuPaul, Michelle Visage and Alan Carr…
