The writing is on the wall for Corrie killer Stephen – as cobbles chief Iain MacLeod insists that Audrey’s slippery son will not be getting away with murder!
So far, Stephen has bumped off father and son duo, Teddy and Leo, and has recently set his sights on new victim, Carla, by drugging her with LSD. He’s surely on course to claim a third victim and become the Street’s next serial killer, yet justice will be served in the end…
“Stephen will be found out, eventually – villains always get their comeuppance,” promises Weatherfield chief Iain MacLeod. “There is a lot of fun to be had between now and then. He’s going head-to-head with Carla for a while, so there is a little way to go with that story yet. Stephen will get up to more mischief, to put it mildly
– but in the end, all bad guys meet their fate.”
The countdown to Stephen’s due reward is already ticking
– with Tim and
Peter potentially the two most likely contenders to rumble his wicked deeds. Alarm bells begin sounding for Elaine’s suspicious son this week, in fact, after he spots his mum eyeing up a country cottage on her laptop. She and Stephen have already invested in an apartment, and now Elaine is looking at other properties on Stephen’s advice.
As she explains to Tim that she plans on spending a substantial amount of time at their new bolt-hole, Tim worries for his mum. Will he challenge Stephen before Elaine gets in too deep? Meanwhile, Peter could be the key to unravelling the wicked web that Stephen
has spun for Carla – if
only he could see what’s right in front of him…
“Peter’s role in Carla’s war against Stephen is being deeply concerned about his wife’s history of mental health problems,” shares Iain. “He’ll put her offside by trying to be overprotective, fight her battles and intervene in an unhelpful way to suggest her priorities are all wrong.”
Yet when Peter does eventually learn the truth, how far will he go to avenge his wife?
