Watching Freddie’s storyline in EastEnders
– when he admitted he was humiliated at school for not being very bright – made me think of actor Bobby Brazier’s late mum Jade Goody being laughed at because she thought East Anglia was abroad. Jade became one of Big Brother’s biggest stars – and I think Freddie won’t let a lack of book learning hold him back, either!

I can’t believe that actual Colin Salmon is joining EastEnders – he’s been in James Bond and everything! And it’s great to see Harriet Thorpe coming into the show as the recast Elaine. I think the two of them will make a great team behind The Vic bar.

I had a sneaking suspicion that the person Linda was secretly talking to about buying into The Vic was her mum – after all, Elaine taught her everything she knows about running a pub! And I can’t wait to meet the rest of the Knight family; we’ve seen Linda living with the Carters, now it’s time to see her with her own blended clan.
