The BIG DEBATE! WILD AND WACKY WEDDING!

Corrie pulled out all the stops for Gemma and Chesney’s wedding. There was comedy, sadness, a fight, and a bride in a light-up dress! But was the wedding a TV turn on – or off – for you?

Ches and Gemma’s wedding had it all! Gemma’s dress was amazing, and I loved her vows with all the song titles. The quads looked adorable, and the food fight between Linda and Bernie was hilarious. But I was close to tears when it got serious as Paul admitted the truth to Gemma and Bernie.

I thought nothing could top Mandy Dingle’s leopard-print wedding dress, but Gemma definitely wins the prize with her enormous orange gown, with flashing lights and that train stretching down the aisle. I heard it was designed by a drag queen and it was certainly a showstopper! It was the wildest wedding dress I’ve ever seen.

You don’t often see a mother of the bride with a foot-long blonde hairpiece and fringed cowboy boots. But then Bernie is something else. She nearly wrecked the wedding starting a fight with Linda, then shamelessly shoving food from the buffet into her handbag.

But it wasn’t just Bernie who stood out…

It was lovely seeing Joseph take centre stage, giving Paul a rollicking about missing the wedding, then getting tearful when he learned of Paul’s illness. It was only a short scene but let’s hope William Flanagan gets more to do soon. He’s a great little actor.
