Conniving George pays up!
BUT CAN GLENDA FORGIVE HIM FOR HIDING THE TRUTH?
George hopes that he can reconcile with his seething sister this week, when he hands her a big, fat cheque to make up for the big, fat lie he told her about the family business. But will Glenda accept his apology – and his cash – and move on?
“George deliberately didn’t tell Glenda about Archie’s will when Todd uncovered it, even though he knew it could mean Glenda was entitled to half the business,” recalls our Weatherfield insider. “Glenda, who was desperate for cash to expand her theatre business, was furious when she found out and decided to put up a fight, leaving George full of guilt and worried about a family feud. He knows he has to appease her – but will this be enough?”
When Archie’s will was found, George was horrified to realise the repercussions it could have if he had to split the business with Glenda. He wasn’t just being selfish, though, as Glenda doesn’t exactly have a business brain, so he was terrified that she’d end up bleeding the company dry – leaving them both with nothing. It didn’t help that at the same time, Glenda had big ideas about expanding Little Big Shotz and was looking for cash to invest, so the news about the will could change everything for her.
George knew deep down that the theatre school wasn’t a good investment – there’s a reason why current owner Estelle is riddled with debt, and desperate to get shot of Shotz! George regretfully told his sister of his concerns, but stopped short of telling Glenda the truth about the will, despite his guilt weighing heavily.
However, everything kicked off when Todd accidentally let slip the details of the will. Glenda was left fuming and, enraged at her brother’s betrayal, decided to take action – threatening to sue George,

George knows that he has to mend things with his sibling, so he hands Glenda a cheque for £22k, hopeful that they can compromise on the matter – she can pursue her dreams, and he can keep running the business. But how will Glenda react?
