Leeds Cas­tle has teamed up with two lead­ing Kentish brands to cham­pion the county’s food, bev­er­age and tourism of­fer­ing in cel­e­bra­tion of the cas­tle’s 900th An­niver­sary in 2019.

The ‘loveli­est cas­tle in the world’ is the of­fi­cial face of

Kent Crisps’ Salt & Vine­gar with Bid­den­den Cider flavour, work­ing in con­junc­tion with the mile­stone an­niver­sary.

This part­ner­ship is just one of many ac­tiv­i­ties planned by Leeds Cas­tle to launch its 900th an­niver­sary cel­e­bra­tions. Other events in­clude the Big 900 Story Writ­ing Chal­lenge with Clare Bald­ing, a Time Cap­sule burial event with HRH Princess Alexan­dra and a 900th An­niver­sary Car­ni­val Pageant planned for sum­mer 2019.

Sir David Steel, CEO at Leeds Cas­tle, con­firmed that Amer­i­can Air­ways – who serve thou­sands of pack­ets of Kent Crisps a year for its transat­lantic flights – are tak­ing the new de­sign, bring­ing Leeds Cas­tle and Kent to a much wider in­ter­na­tional au­di­ence. bot­tom of a Cham­pagne flute, then top up with Cham­pagne. Pear & gin­ger fizz

Pour 1cm Gin­ger syrup (or use the syrup from a jar of stem gin­ger) into the bot­tom of a Cham­pagne flute. Make up to about 3cm with pear juice; top the glass up with Cham­pagne, give it a gen­tle stir and fin­ish with a few slices of thinly sliced fresh pear.
