Tree of Hope’s sec­ond Sport­ing He­roes lunch drew 120 guests, in­clud­ing the char­ity’s pa­tron, Par­a­lympian table ten­nis player Ross Wil­son, who won gold at the 2018 Com­mon­wealth Games.

En­ter­tain­ment was cour­tesy of Ir­ish rugby leg­end Wil­lie John McBride MBE, while

Kent and Eng­land cricket cap­tain Chris Cow­drey led the fundrais­ing which in­cluded a raf­fle, a silent auc­tion and a live auc­tion.

A gen­er­ous £12,500 was raised to sup­port the work of Tree of Hope in help­ing chil­dren suf­fer­ing from a dis­abil­ity or a pro­longed ill­ness.
