SEAT TARRACO AND ARONA

Kent Life - - Motoring Life -

Seat may be a relative newcomer to the

SUV ranks, but it’s rapidly making up for lost time. The new Arona and Tarraco sit either side of the Ateca, which was launched as the brand’s first SUV in 2016.

The Arona is the smallest car in the line-up, occupying a footprint not much bigger than a traditional supermini, but it’s deceptively spacious inside and it comes with a generous 400-litre boot. There’s a choice of three petrol engines (95PS, 115PS and 150PS) and two diesels (95PS and 115PS) plus manual or DSG transmission. Prices range from £17,145 to £24,570.

At the other end of the range, the Tarraco is a full-size SUV that comes with seven seats as standard.

Four-wheel drive is available on selected models, while the engine choice consists of two petrols (150PS and 190PS) and two diesels (also 150PS and 190PS) mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DSG.

Prices start at £28,320 for the Tarraco SE 1.5 TSI manual and rise to £40,075 for the XCELLENCE First Edition, which comes with the top-spec two-litre diesel, fourwheel drive and a DSG gearbox as standard.
