High Sher­iff of Kent Awards

The 2019 High Sher­iff Awards took place at County Hall in Maid­stone, where guests en­joyed tea and cakes in the Stone Hall be­fore be­ing wel­comed to the cer­e­mony by Josephine McCart­ney, CEO of Kent Com­mu­nity Foun­da­tion. She ex­plained the key role of the Foun­da­tion in manag­ing the High Sher­iff’s Award Fund and KCF’s in­valu­able ex­pe­ri­ence in in­tro­duc­ing High Sher­iffs to vol­un­tary groups in Kent. The High Sher­iff, Jane Ash­ton, gave a brief overview of her year vis­it­ing char­i­ties and, with law and or­der very much the High Sher­iff’s re­mit, pre­sented cer­tifi­cates and cheques to: FASD Aware­ness South East, No Walls Gar­dens CIC, Gifted Young Gen­er­a­tion, Maid­stone Street Pas­tors and Ru­bi­con Cares. A High Sher­iff Con­sort’s Award was pre­sented by Hu­bert Ash­ton to RNLI Dover and RNLI Dun­geness.
