Quiz questions lead to a big battle of the brains

- By Natalie Spain

messengernews@thekmgroup. co.uk SO, the quiz questions dotted throughout this edition have been leading to something.

The KM Big Charity Quiz returns to Maidstone on Friday, June 21. It will provide teams with an evening of fun, general knowledge, with food served during the rounds.

But the serious side to the fun is the chance to help our charity of the year.

A quarter of all the proceeds from the quiz night, which will be held at Maidstone Leisure Centre from 7pm, will go to Kent Scouts. Other organisations set to benefit are the Maidstone Grammar School for Girls Parents and Friends Association and the children’s road safety department at KM Charity Team.

Last year’s quiz saw a team called Supernova storm to victory and the evening raised more than £6,500 for good causes.

This year’s quiz is supported by Day, Smith & Hunter Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors.

Kent Scouts hopes to put the quiz money towards building a climbing barn.

Mike Startup, of DSH, said: “We are once again pleased to be involved with the KM Big Charity Quiz, not only with sponsorship but by actively taking part in it.

“The quiz is one event in the firm’s social calendar where we can always rely on a good turnout from staff.”

You can book a table for your team by going to www. kmbigquiz.co.uk

The price is £65, which includes a ploughman’s meal and a glass of wine. If you book online you can get a £5 discount with this code, KMBQPR13.

The event is also supported by Shepherd Neame, Barclays, Maidstone Scaffolding, P&0 Ferries and Maidstone Leisure Centre.
