positive comments for making sure children were totally involved in their learning and a peer mentor scheme resolved many issues for youngsters.

KCC says more training and close working with the Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark is putting the school on the road to recovery. The 369pupil school will be taken out of its control and turned into an academy. A meeting was called by the school in light of the Ofsted report.

The Kent Messenger attempted to attend, on Thursday last week but our reporter was asked to leave by Mr Webb.

He later clarified the event was restricted by Ofsted guidance for parents only to attend.

Speaking afterwards, mother-of-four Suzanne Stone said: “We had to send our questions in advance.

“They’re refusing to answer most of them.

“They weren’t prepared to answer anything about Mr Bray.”

She later added parents were deeply divided between those who supported Mr Bray and those who didn’t.

KCC said it was explained clearly at the meeting that Mr Bray was “not currently at school.”

It added that while questions were submitted, supplementary ones were asked during the meeting.
