FOUR men were arrested and stolen property and drugs were recovered during a Kent Police operation to crack down on rural crime.
Operation Nonagon was launched on Thursday, May 23 and teams were deployed across Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells.
This was the fifth time the operation has been run and is now held regularly to identify people suspected of crimes in rural areas, such as oil theft and poaching.
Kent Police also teamed up with the Environment Agency to crack down on the illegal disposal and burning of waste.
A 48-year-old man from Lenham and a 41-year-old man from Maidstone were arrested on suspicion of illegal waste disposal and have been bailed to July 18 pending further inquiries.
