Couple’s cycle challenge

-

A HUSBAND and wife from Maidstone are bracing themselves to tackle five individual cycling challenges in aid of Parkinson’s UK.

Chris and Laura Endersby, of Wilsons Lane, will travel across Britain to complete the challenges, with the first starting in Stratfordupon-Avon on June 9.

All five rides have been organised by Parkinson’s UK and each will see the couple cycle 60.

Chris, 47, and Laura, 53, have been inspired by Chris’s dad, 69-year-old David Endersby, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2006.

Mr Endersby, said: “We wanted to take on a challenge to help my dad who has been living with the disease for several years now.

“We see how Parkinson’s affects him on a daily basis and want to do our bit to help raise funds, and also raise awareness as we don’t think people know enough about it”.

After the ride in Stratford-uponAvon the couple, who have a fundraising target of £2,000, will cycle at events in Durham, on June 30, and Llanelli, on July 7.

The final two rides take place in Stirling on August 4 and Newcastle on September 8.
