AN UNBEATEN century from Paul Sunnucks saw Marden narrowly beat Headcorn. He made 121 not out as Marden reached 167-8 in the Premier Division clash. Headcorn stayed in the hunt thanks to James Barker’s half-century and closed only three runs short. Will Thirkell was the main man in Linton Park’s threewicke­t win over Boughton & Eastwell. He removed three of the top five as Boughton were bowled out for 100. He followed that by hitting 51 off 64 balls to see Linton home. Lenham beat West Farleigh by nine wickets in the 2nd XI Division. Matthew Shrimpton and Tom Curtis claimed three wickets each as West Farleigh were skittled for 63. Captain Curtis made 36 not out as Lenham eased home in 13 overs. Marden 2nds beat Sheldwich by 129 runs. Skipper Chris Watts (66) helped Marden to 210-6, then Dan Ashton took 5-20 as Sheldwich folded on 81. Linton Park 2nds were bowled out for 92 in a ninewicket defeat at Meopham. Sam Leale-Green made 68 as Headcorn 2nds made 175-7 against Staplehurs­t 2nds. Four wickets each for Josh Munro and Bradley Peters-Burr saw Hurst fall 29 runs short.
