Hollingbourne suffer first defeat of season

HOLLINGBOURNE suffered a batting nightmare in their 128-run defeat by Frindsbury.
Set 179 to win, they were bowled out for just 50 in 18.1 overs.
Opener Russell Armstrong (10) was the only player to reach double figures as Bourne lost for the first time this season in Championship East.
Nick Waite made an unbeaten century for The Mote 3rds in their Division 1A Central win against Upchurch.
He hit 11 boundaries for a score of 102 not out as the innings closed on 188- 4.
Waite also took three wickets, as did Paul Usher and Robert O’Brien, as Upchurch were bowled out for 95.
Leybourne struggled with the bat in their six-wicket home defeat against Snodland in Division 1A West.
Neil Cologne made 32 off 66 balls and Gary Martin lasted 61 deliveries for 26 but the innings collapsed to 89 all out with four wickets each for Greg Thursting and Joshua Town.
Thursting led Snodland home with an unbeaten 31 off 30 balls, including six fours and a six.
In Division 1B West, Snodland Community lost by 100 runs at Sevenoaks Vine.
Nathan Waller took four Vine wickets as the hosts made 227-8.
Chris Hearn (53) top scored in reply but Snodland were bowled out for 127.
Shaun McMurray impressed with bat and ball as Kings Hill beat Hunton Wanderers by seven wickets in Division 1B Central.
He took 4-20 to restrict Hunton to 96-9 and then scored an unbeaten 36.
Alistair Ratcliff hit three sixes in a knock of 44 as Yalding chased down a target of 145, set by Rainham, with seven wickets in hand.
In Division 2A East, Leeds & Broomfield were bowled out for only 35 at Old Williamsonians.
OWs knocked off the runs in 12.1 overs to claim victory by eight wickets.
The Mote 4ths beat Hunton Wanderers 2nds by 49 runs in Division 2B Central,
Simon Taylor (2-16) bowled well for Hunton as The Mote closed on 134- 6.
Hunton collapsed to 85 all out in reply.
Bearsted 2nds eased to a sevenwicket win at Gravesend.
Three wickets each for Mike Redman, Alex Keeler and Ben Lush saw Gravesend dismissed for 102.
