Clayton Barrett (Larkfield) was again victorious in 17min28sec at Great Lines as 303 finished Saturday’s race – only four short of a record attendance. Michelle Li (Medway Tri) made a winning debut in her local event. Niall Stewart’s personal best of 16.28 dragged his immediate opponents to fast times at Maidstone and the excellent conditions also helped Alison Davey (W35, Sittingbourne Striders, 21.51) to run faster than before to win the women’s category. Graeme Saker (M50, Tonbridge) led an impressive list of high agegraded results with 85%. Tonbridge team-mates Simon Fraser and Nicole Taylor were joint winners at Tonbridge as the women’s runner-up, Ellen Crombie, topped the age-grading. Dunorlan Park saw top-quality running from Tonbridge athletes Daniel Watt and Greg Cole as Will Levett’s course record came under threat. One second was the margin as Watt secured his seventh win in nine attempts.
