Larkfield’s delight at three wins

-

Three triumphed tournament.

There was plenty of competition as almost 200 teams turned out at Cobdown last weekend.

That didn’t stop the hosts claiming an under-9s double for the boys and girls and adding a third title in the under-13 section.

Organiser Adam Handy said: “I always say there will be one problem to sort out but there wasn’t this year.

“More and more people are helping out where the club’s grown with the amalgamation of the men’s, women’s and youth teams, which makes Larkfield sides

at their home such a difference. The tournament runs so smoothly and we do get plenty of good feedback every year.

“At just under 200 teams, it must be one of the biggest tournaments in Kent.

“Winning any age group is tough, so we’re delighted to win three.” Winners and runners-up: Under-7s: AS Eastbourne, Kent Football United; Under- 8s: Crayford Arrows, AS Eastbourne United; Under- 9 girls: Larkfield Ladies, Thanet Colts; Under- 9s: Larkfield Boys, Thamesmead Tigers; Under-10 girls: Thanet Colts, Castle Colts; Under-10s: AS Eastbourne, Lambeth Tigers; Under-11 girls: Maidstone United, Long Lane; Under-11s: Maidstone United Youth, Larkfield Boys; Under-13 girls: Maidstone United, Castle Colts; Under-13s: Larkfield Juniors, AS Eastbourne; Under-14s: Maidstone United, AS Eastbourne; Under-15 girls: Gravesham, Footscray Lions; Under-15s: APM Lightning, APM Storm; Under-16s: Seddlescombe, Cliffe Woods; Women: Long Lane, Faversham Town Elizabethans.
