YOUR LOCAL Weather
It is beginning to feel a lot more like winter. In fact, high pressure should keep us mostly fine for the next six days.
Today (Friday): A cold start with a local ground frost, but a nice bright day mixed with some cloudier spells. Winds will be north westerly at 7-12mph. Day temperatures will be 6C (43F) and there will be an overnight frost. Tomorrow (Saturday): The morning will have a cold frosty start with icy roads and pavements where untreated. Hopefully, you will have all checked your vehicles for anti-freeze as minimum temperatures will drop to -3C (27F). It will be a nice bright sunny morning, but cloudier in the afternoon with northerly winds 4-9mph. Day temperature will be at a cold 5C (41F). Sunday: There will be the hardest frost of the winter with temperatures down to -5C (23F) in the Weald. It will be a lovely day, but very icy first thing. It will be great light for photographs with hazy sunshine in the afternoon. Winds will be easterly 3-8mph with temperature 3C (37F). Monday to Wednesday: Staying cold with a frosty night, but there will be more cloud at times. Winds will remain easterly at 3-8mph and temperature around 4-5C (39-41F). Thursday: A day of change as low pressure returns, bringing some transient snow, especially over the Downs for a time. Milder weather should reach us all before dark. Winds will be back to the west, increasing from 8mph with temperatures of 7C (45F) late in the day.
