Scheme just the job for two youngsters

-

For two youngsters interested in recruitment, an apprenticeship proved to be an ideal route into their chosen career.

And not only that – their work has helped their company develop two new areas of expertise.

Louse Pawley and George Bayfield are sales and telesales Level 3 apprentices with Manhunt Recruitment in Sittingbourne.

They were helped in their journey by specialist advisers from Mid Kent College.

Louise completed her A-levels at college last year and had undertaken some work experience with her local job centre coupled with completing admin tasks.

She really enjoyed the experience and has always been interested in recruitment so was keen on the opportunity to work with a professional recruiter such as Manhunt.

George left school after completing his A-levels in 2014 and had worked as a market researcher – he was looking for a more professional route into sales and recruitment and chose the apprenticeship as a way forward.

Manhunt has put an extensive training plan in place for both apprentices to reflect their learning via the apprenticeship framework.

They are working on a brand new sales apprenticeship framework which is delivered via a blended model of online training, bespoke sales consultancy and coaching in the workplace.

For Manhunt, taking on apprentices was an easy choice as the company is passionate about professional training and providing an opportunity for young people to gain the necessary skills to be successful.

The company has developed into two new areas – wearable technology and augmented reality– helped by Louise and George’s work.
