lester.gosbee@btinternet.com High pressure has formed to the east of England and low pressure is over north west France. This will bring a warm southerly breeze for a barbecue weekend. Today (Friday): A milder start with temperatures of 7C (45F) with mostly clear blue skies. There will be a few columns of cloud that will temporarily hide the sun. Winds will be southerly at 8-12mph. Temperatures inland will be 20C (68F) but on the coast it will be cooler at 16C (61F), but still will be pleasant. Tomorrow (Saturday): There will be clear blue skies for most of the day, but there is a 15% chance of thunderstorms by evening. It will be very warm inland, probably the warmest temperatures will be in North Kent, where there will be a light southerly breeze with a temperature of 22C (72F). Sunday: The weather will be very warm, with a little more cloud at times, but this will not spoil the day. Winds will be more south easterly at 8-10mph. It will be Kent’s hottest day since August 22 2015, when the heat was on for one day in Gravesend with a temperature of 30.9C (87.62F). Monday and Tuesday: Staying fine, but with a south easterly breeze, which will pick up and make East Kent a bit fresher. The Weald and West Kent could reach the low 70Fs. Wednesday and Thursday: There will be low pressure in the south west, which will throw thundery systems our way, with some local heavy downpours. There will still be some warm sunny spells. Temperatures will be down, but still above average at 17-20C (63-68F). Dying Awareness Week: Talking about dying is never an easy subject.
