Bulls bounce back in fi­nal

A ram­pant per­for­mance from Ayles­ford Bulls in the Kent Shield fi­nal helped ease some of the pain from miss­ing out on pro­mo­tion.

The Sevenoaks cup match, held dur­ing fi­nals day at Ayles­ford, came just a week after a nar­row de­feat to Heath­field.

De­feat in their fi­nal league match meant Ayles­ford fin­ished third in Lon­don 3 South East, while the team that beat them claimed the se­cond pro­mo­tion spot.

There was no hang­over from Ayles­ford a week on.

In a dom­i­nant per­for­mance against Sevenoaks, they ran in six tries to clinch a 40-5 vic­tory.

Try scor­ers for the vic­tors were Ben Rid­out, Sam Proc­tor (2), Michael Jack­son, Jamie Carmil­let and Richie Rod­dis with Will Kel­ley con­vert­ing five of them.

were awarded the Kent Plate after Old Dun­sto­ni­ans failed to raise the team.
